Some Traditionalists MightSay that the Sun has Moved

This Sunday evening post-sunset shows rather dynamically that the angle of the earth has made a dramatic shift between last December and this month of May. If you recall, the winter sunsets from this vantage point, appear to occur "behind" the tree on the extreme left and now, May 3, 2020, we observe the sunset appearing to occur "behind" the tree on the right of the above photo. Members of the informal "sunset club" will recognize this as their July and August observations will follow the pattern in reverse. This year we may have to be spread out on the Big Blue Dock in order to allow more social distancing as we await a safe and effective vaccine against the coronavirus.
