Phase Two of Reopening
Will Not Start Friday

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, N.Y. (WHEC) — Phase Two will not begin on Friday according to Livingston County officials. In a tweet Thursday night, the county announced Gov. Andrew Cuomo will address Phase Two at his Friday briefing, but Phase Two will not start Friday.

A date will not be set until health data from Phase One of reopening is analyzed, according to the tweet. The tweet also says Phase Two could start on Saturday. However, a firm reopening date has still not been set. Another tweet said new metrics for the Finger Lakes region were not mentioned, but multiple other regions were told of new dashboard requirements.
Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bob Duffy, who is in charge of coordinating the Finger Lakes Region's reopening, had originally told News10NBC he would release a statement Thursday night, but later said he is waiting on guidance from Gov. Cuomo. Despite the announcement, the governor's website released a set of guidelines for retail stores to reopen under Phase Two.
