High Wind Warning in effect from Monday, 10:00 AM EDT until Tuesday, 2:00 AM EDT. Source: U.S. National Weather Service
* WHAT...Southwest winds 30 to 45 mph with gusts up to 70 mph expected.
* WHERE...Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Northern Erie, Genesee, and Wyoming counties.
* WHEN...From 10 AM Monday to 2 AM EDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...This will be a dangerous situation. Very strong winds will result in numerous downed trees and power lines. EXTENSIVE power outages and property damage are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.
