There are 21 companies working on coronavirus treatments or vaccines — many of which hope to release a vaccine announcement by the end of 2020. Several overly aggressive companies (those throwing some cautions to the wind) have said it may be ready by September 2020, and apparently there is already one available from South Korea.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, however, is onboard with those aiming at the end of 2020. He cautions that we must not sacrifice safety for the sake of speed, which would feed into the charges from the anti-vaccine movement and lobby who claim that no vaccines are safe.
