The House stayed late last Friday into the wee hours of Saturday to specifically get the urgent work of supporting the people and businesses as the economy closes down. The Senate, on the other hand, couldn't get out of town fast enough. Mitch McConnell adjourned the Senate for the weekend. Did they vote immediately upon their return to Washington? Not hardly. They dawdled 3 additional days for a total of 5 days before voting. Even the President was anxious for their action. The bill, soon to be law, is designed to put cash back in the budget of Americans who are suffering from business slow-down and shut-downs.
