Most Western New York schools were closed Friday. Nevertheless, we checked online and sure enough Perry Central School was listed as Closed because of the storm. Later in the afternoon, the school bus dropped off school children who said they had been to school today.
On behalf of Perry Schools, we apologize for any inconvenience created by our reporting, even though it was based on several separate sources. Perhaps we need to consult with the schools about direct notices. Perry Central Schools services parts of the Silver Lake communities including the east side.
