3-6 Inches of Snow in Progress, Schools are Closed, Meals on Wheels is Closed, Reduced Driving Visibility, Slow Traffic

The green shadings depict where rain is expected. Areas that are shaded blue are expected to see snow. Purple-shaded locations may see either rain or snow. Areas in pink are expected to see sleet or freezing rain (ice).

How Much More Snow and Ice?

The heaviest additional snowfall through Friday night will be in far upstate New York and far northern New England near the Canadian border, where over a foot of snow is possible. Parts of western and central New York may pick up another 6 inches of snow through Friday night. Elsewhere, mainly light to moderate accumulations are expected in the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and Appalachians. More snow from Syracuse northeastward.
