Winter Weather Advisory in Effect until 6 pm EST Wednesday; 4 to 8 Inches Possible in Most Persistent Lake Snows



* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches in the most persistent lake snows. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph may produce blowing and drifting snow. * WHERE...Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie counties. * WHEN...Until 6 PM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Lake effect snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.
