Light snow continues to fall in areas on the east shore of Silver Lake. Occasional blowing snow created from tree limbs, roofs, and loose ground snow. It appears that we have had about 2 inches since dawn. Northern East Shore (S/L Institute) air temperature is 29 (feels like 12). Southern West Shore (S/L Marine) air temperature is 23 (feels like 9). The forecast as we approach sunset is for "heavy snow." This is not occurring yet.
At 9:00 pm, five hours after our last report above, the snow stopped and has not yet begun again. This is not unusual for our southeastern corner of the county, and there is still plenty of time in the Advisory and Warning for us to receive some of the forecast weather activity.
