Despite warnings from some meteorologists that power failures could be a result of the high winds being experienced in Western New York, residents have made it all the way to early afternoon without loss of any power. This, amazingly, in an area of chronic power failures usually occurring for no obvious or apparent reason. At least the high winds give us the comfort of having some knowledge of why are lives are being affected in this way. But it is not meant to be. A good reason for a power failure was simply not in the cards for this non-power-failure.
