DEC Announces $500,000 in Grants Available for Mohawk River Watershed Projects but Applications are Required

DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos has announced that $500,000 is now available for municipalities, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, school districts, colleges and universities, and not-for-profit organizations to implement the goals and objectives of the Mohawk River Basin Action Agenda. These grants will help local partners fund projects designed to preserve and protect the Mohawk River watershed.

Round Five of the Mohawk River Watershed Grant Request for Applications (RFA) is available online through the New York State Grants Gateway. You must submit grant applications online through the Grants Gateway no later than 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 for the Mohawk grant.

The New York State Grants Gateway is a portal for locating opportunities for grants that would be useful to a local community such as the Silver Lake Water Basin. The current grant opportunities is a search and browse location. Anyone may look it over by clicking on the link above or HERE.
