Harvest Dinner was DE-licious
as was the Company we kept

Wesley Ave. residents, Fay and Sarah Clark and Haven Ave. resident, Greg Franklin car pooled their way to the Harvest Dinner at the Perry UM Church and joined Bill and Nancy Squier, Genesee Ave. residents, who had car pooled with Jimmy of Warsaw--yes, the Jimmy who was with us at SLE this summer.

We sat at a big warm round table set in the midst of Christmas arts and crafts available for sale with attractive colored lights drawing our attention to the cute and expansive display of handmade dolls. Doug Wilson of Thompson Ave. was at a table closer to the Buffet table. JoAnne Brocklehurst of Lakeside Ave. was two tables over and Dean Chapman of Janes Ave. sat at another table, not far from us. Bernadette Halstead of Walker Rd., was at the table next to us.

There was a choice of white or dark meat of the turkey and the beautiful cuts of ham were in addition to the turkey and dressing. The turkey dressing was full of flavor and moist. The squash was so perfect, nothing was needed on top of it. Mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, applesauce, cabbage salad, rolls and cranberry sauce topped it all off.

Our table of Silver Lakers enjoyed desserts of custard pie, cherry pie, and pumpkin pie along with five coffees and one chocolate milk. It was a good time and a great meal!
