Prime 'Trick n' Treat' Hours
Hindered by Very Heavy Rain

Even if you went out early to roam the neighborhoods, you most likely wound up somewhat wet anyway. The rain started before Noon. It was on and off from light to moderate but a little before sunset, it was heavy enough to cast a foggy appearance, even though there was no apparent fog. By 7:30 in the evening, it was very clear that we were getting the heaviest rain of the day.
Add a little wind, night light, a fish eye lens and one gets a photo like the SLI lake cam photo (above) taken around 7:43 pm.
Next comes a windy evening and overnight, not subsiding until sometime Friday. The rain has eased and the wind has definitely picked up. This may eliminate most of the color that graced the trees so gorgeously for weeks.
