It's time to return to the research! The above photo is labeled "Walkers Stop." This label leaves us with almost more questions than it does answers. For example, what was the rationale for a double track when there was supposedly no separate runs; no need for a passenger train to pull off to a side rail to make room for the passage of a freight train to run straight through.
On the Silver Lake RR, the passenger and freight were all in one train especially since this section of track dead-ended in Perry, NY. Time to research this issue which means I can use your help.
