This Saturday both novice and professional Artists will be walking the grounds of the Silver Lake Institute in search of a uniquely desirable object or scene that the artist wishes to paint and will then setup for it and begin to paint. The Institute on the shore of Silver Lake is a rich source of period cottages and historical buildings. That is the format for Day 1 of the Pieces of Perry, En Plein Air Art Festival lasting from 9 am to 2 pm.
Artists and Friends will regather the next day, Sunday, Sept. 22, at the Hole in the Wall Restaurant, 7056 Standpipe Rd., Perry, NY 14530 where Day 1's art works will be on display, will receive appropriate awards, and some will be available for purchase. The event is $20 for adults; $10 for a child (12 and under); free to registered artists who contribute their work to the auction. Proceeds will be used to improve the Silver Lake Trail.
