Dual Celebration Coming Sunday: Opening of 2019 SLE, and Last Sunday Gathering at Epworth for this Season

Deacon Sue Russell, Director of the Retreat Center and Co-Chair of SLE is the Speaker of the Morning to kickoff the new week in which the 2019 Silver Lake Experience (SLE) will begin. Barbara Bruce will be the coordinating leader for the kickoff which begins at 10:30 am. This will be the third time that the SLE will present the four-day "mini Chautauqua" event here on the grounds of the Silver Lake Institute and the Asbury Camp & Retreat Center.

This SLE should be one of the best based on the quality suggestions made from the well-pleased attenders of the last two SLE events, and the hard work put in by the planning committee in these past two years of preparation. More optional time will be available at the lake shore and the beautiful Greenway right next to it. Only days remain to register!

In addition, we will be celebrating the spiritual life and the decisions to serve others that occurred within the walls of Epworth Hall throughout its many years. This will be the last scheduled Sunday morning gathering in Epworth for the 2019 Season and a time to enjoy its atmosphere even as we anticipate more time in Epworth during the SLE which begins on Thursday.

During the four days of the Silver Lake Experience, Epworth Hall will be used as a Welcome Center (south entry section), a location for large attendance workshops (center stage section), and the popular Epworth Cafe on the north end. Come celebrate the work accomplished through the years at Epworth Hall, and especially the opening of 2019's "Experience"!
