Lorraine Kraft Remembered as her Tradition of Fillmore Ave. Street Party is Revived by Son, Tom & Jackie Kraft

Fillmore Avenue residents who have been around just long enough, will recall the sparkling personality of Lorraine Kraft, and now even recent residents will have an appreciation for her life and her love for the Institute. Lorraine's son, Tom and daughter-in-law, Jackie, have chosen to resurrect Lorraine's tradition of getting Filllmore Ave. residents together for a street party. Word has it that this re-start of a tradition turned out to be a success and appreciated, particularly by new residents who got to know their neighbors right at the start of the Season. Here's our electronic toast that many years may accompany this valuable tradition.

..........................................................

Last year, Lorraine's family donated the very comfortable new chairs in Epworth Hall. Forty of those chairs will be moved to Stoody Hall for this year's five worship services that will be held at that location with the indoors being reserved in case of rain. Lorraine was always active in the Institute community and was seen frequently at Epworth Hall for events and services. These are fitting tributes to her memory.
