Jim Riley, no stranger to the Silver Lake Institute, has retired from his place of employment, and during his introduction to the voting members of SLI today, said he thought it was time to give something back to the community. That was his reason for running.
After proclaiming himself as a 'geek,' Jim went on to say that he could be helpful to the website. Apparently the residents thought so, too, as they elected him to a full 3-year term which begins effective as of today's vote.
The others elected to the SLI Board of Trustees at today's meeting were: Dan Longhany of 9 Wesley Ave., another new addition to the Board, and the followiing who have been returned for another 3-year term: Bob Cook (Chair of Long Range Planning); Kevin Colburn (Treasurer); and for a 1-year term: Sharon Pratt was elected.
Julie Hoffner gave the Nominations Report and the Election Results.
