This year's Lake Wide Memorial Observance will be held on July 28, 2019 (10:30 am) in Epworth Hall. Lake Families and individuals living at the Lake who have lost a loved one within the past twelve months will have the opportunity of speaking about the character and uniqueness of the loved one whom they have lost to death.
Just prior to that opportunity, their loved one will be named from a printed list in the Memorial Folder, a beautiful melodic bell will sound, and a candle will be prayerfully lit. A representative of the family will be given a long-stemmed red rose to carry home along with the bottom holder of the LED candle that was lit in their memory. A time of friendship and fellowship will follow.
Because of the large number of those being memorialized, there will be no speaker that morning. Words of comfort and purpose will be read in the first part of the observance. A large segment of time will be dedicated to the families' participation, since that is becoming the most meaningful and popular part of the remembrance observance.
If you know of a name that is missing, please contact us without delay so all may be included. (585) 493-4003 or gregfranklin14549@mail.com. It has been reported that the committee has 23 names and we are working at getting the complete list into this Newsletter's record of deaths.
