For Asbury's Open House and Chicken Barbecue, the day provided excellent conditions for getting out and enjoying a dinner together with friends and acquaintances, both around tables and running into friends by way of take-out orders. This year's chicken was excellently prepared as those at our table discussed. Barbecued onsite, it was delicious. A fresh fruit and dessert table added to the enjoyment for those who checked it out.
In addition to the Open House and Barbecue, the Asbury Pool was open for those interested in a quick dip or a prolonged float and some folks did take advantage of it.. In spite of the "early" date, the event was a worthy success and next year we would encourage even more of the SLI community to participate and have fun.
