After another long winter mostly devoid of daily social contact among members of the community, some of the Spring discussions by Institute persons are about their eager and anxious wait for those who arrive post-Memorial Day or even Post-July 1st. One of the summertime's well known daily gatherings is that of those who gather on the Big Blue Dock to watch the sunset. That's the stated purpose, but it also serves as a means of catching up conversationally, enjoying each other's company, and meeting new neighbors. The same is true of Wednesday's Dessert on the Dock and Sunday Worship. It's yet another enduring part of spending summers at Silver Lake!
