Yard Sale Information Released for Residents, Volunteers, and
Lake-wide Community

  • Silver Lake lake wide yard sales are Friday, May 31 from 10 am - 4 pm and Saturday, June 1 from 9 am - 3 pm.
  • Select volunteers associated with Asbury Retreat Center, Silver Lake Association, Silver Lake Experience and/or Silver Lake Institute have been invited to use Epworth Hall to display their personal sales (along with informational/sales tables for the various non-profits).
  • All Silver Lake residents are invited to set up their sales in Burt Park on Perry Avenue or along the Greenway on Lakeview Avenue -- or, of course, on their own properties.
  • Only chairs will be provided in Epworth Hall (no tables).  The space allotted to each resident can accommodate one 8 foot table.  Large items can be left on the east lawn with contact information attached.  (NOTE:  A table IS provided for each non-profit -- Asbury, SLA, SLE and SLI.
  • ONLY space is offered in Burt Park and along the Greenway.  Please remember there is no parking ON the Greenway or along the west side of Lakeview Avenue.
  • Epworth Hall set-up will begin at 5:00 pm on Thursday, May  30 and go until dusk.  Doors will open again at 8:00 am on Friday.
  • PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE EAST LAWN OF EPWORTH AT ANY TIME.  Because of all the rain, please try to preserve the south lawn as much as possible by using caution when unloading items from vehicles.  (During sales, please park as far away from the building as feasible to allow customers ample parking!)
  • ALL items must be removed from Epworth no later than 4:30 pm on Saturday since the Silver Serpent Triathlon organizers are using the building at 5:00 pm.
  • Individuals assume the risk if they leave items inside Epworth from Thursday night through Saturday afternoon. (The building WILL be locked.)

If you are aware of neighbors planning to set up their sales on their own properties around the lake, we can write theaddresses on the blackboard inside Epworth so shoppers know where else they can find great bargains!

BARGAINS LIKE vintage items, including a working toaster and electric coffee percolator, a set of bright orange kitchen chairs and a collection of Jim Beam bottles and SO MUCH MORE!
