'Stand-still Storm' is Actually, Slowly on the Move; Sunshine Under Blue Skies over the Silver Lake Basin; Just 6°
with Very Dangerous Windchills

The storm's movement overnight was through Orleans County. The storm's line is edging southward, passing through Genesee and Monroe counties. The storm has already moved further southward and is affecting the northwestern quarter-to-third of Wyoming County. Snow and wind activity is running about an hour behind current forecasts (as of 9:20 am), according to radar. The  storm has not reached eastern Wyoming County but inching closer to Warsaw. Currently, the sun is shining under blue skies in the Silver Lake Basin as of 9:56 am.

Meals on Wheels for Wyoming County were cancelled for today and Thursday. Friday and weekend frozen meals will be delivered Friday. The Buffalo Airport has received 12-inches of snow. Rochester has 8-inches of snow while Syracuse has 6-inches of snow. Current white-out conditions in the West Seneca and Orchard Park areas. Traffic and road departments are thanking WNY residents for remaining off the roads, enabling more efficient clearing the snow from the roads.
