During the course of our advertising blitz, folks began talking to one another about the enjoyable time they had at last year's gathering of survivors and figured out that they owed it to themselves to check it out by making a reservation for this year's Survivors' Party. Last Year, conversations were the big hit. That might be true again this year, but additional activities are being offered such as sledding, table games, and having the movie, Ground Hog, running as yet another option.
A recommended $5.00 per persons is expected to cover the cost of pizza and drinks. Other expenses have been donated along with the survivor cake and ice cream. Choices of pizza include (1) vegetable, (2) cheese, (3) Cheese & Pepperoni, and (4) cheese & pepperoni with all the toppings except anchovies (with apologies to anchovy lovers!). Drinks include Decaf Coffee, Tea, Hot Cocoa, water, and the Koinonia Cold Drink Fountain.
The theme of the evening is Ground Hog Day. Since the Ground Hog is only right 39% of the time, we will also be flipping a coin to see if Spring is coming sooner or later. Flipping a coin has been proven to be right 50% of the time! There should be at least an hour of daylight for sledding if you arrive right about 4:00 pm Saturday and have all skin areas covered because of dangerous wind chills.. Children are welcome also be reservation by tomorrow at 5 pm. Here's hoping to see you there!
