Committee members have been working independently to prepare for the community gathering which is less than 3 weeks away on Ground Hog Day (Feb. 2) at 4 pm in Koinonia Dining Room. The committee will come together this weekend to insure that there is nothing that has been skipped over and to do one final review for each item of preparation to be sure we are ready.
There will be 3 different kinds of pizza--one with everything on it except anchovies; one with only cheese, pepperoni and mushroom on it; and a couple of small gluten-free pizzas. Dessert once again will be "Survivors' Cake" with ice cream. Drinks include Decaf Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, and Koinonia's Fruit drink and water dispenser. There will be paper products for easy clean up.
Last year, conversation was the biggest attraction while others enjoyed some scrabble. This year there will be two additional surprises, neither of which will take long and should be fun. When you first arrive, you will have the opportunity of donating toward the pizza ($5 minimum each), fill out a name tag, and write down your email address. The pizza will arrive from Darryl's by 4:30 pm at the latest. (If you don't have $5, please RSVP and come anyway.)
Come out for a relaxing time with old friends or the adventure of making new friends from less familiar faces! RSVPs are due in by 5 pm Jan. 30th--we need to know how many are coming so we can efficiently order the pizza on Jan. 31. Call Greg at 493-4003.
