Alternating Light to Moderate Snow Preceded by Overnight Snowfall

Snow continues off and on with a steady breeze from the midst of the latest snow storm warning. The Warning remains in affect through 7 am Saturday morning. Roads were plowed very shortly after Noon. Meals on Wheels to SLI residents were cancelled for the day. It is currently 21 degrees at Silver Lake with a high today of only 23 and a low tonight of 9. Being on the east side of the county, we are obviously being shielded from the brunt of the storm. We received a 15-minute reprieve in the middle of one of the snow events as the skies cleared and became blue and the sun shown brightly. It didn't last long, but was a pleasant fascination.
