Perry Community Concert Band Performs Magnificently Professional Concert with Many Highlights

Letchworth Cable Access to Televise PCC Band
During First Two Weeks of January 2019

Richard Barth, Manager of the PCC Band and Co-Artistic Director, wrote and performed the narration for the entire program, bringing some of the fascinating backgrounds of the compositions to a fresh, new life, and creating additional expectations and desire to hear the PCC Band perform it. Dick Barth is a published author and will be present this coming Saturday at a book signing at the BioTech Bookstore, formerly Burlingham's, at 10 am, corner of Main St. and Borden Ave.

Besides the absolutely stunning performances, another highlight of the evening was PCC Band's Conductor and Co-Artistic Director, Jessie Barth, reaching out and utilizing guest conductors for several of the evening's compositions. The guest conductors included: Christopher Taylor; Student Conductor Madeleine Natschke, a High School student; Dr. Jetro Silva; and Raymond Suriani.

Special Guests  for the evening included musician-conductor Dr. Jetro Silver and his wife, vocalist Nimma Silva. who sang two of the evening's vocals. Husband Jetro accompanied her on the piano for one and conducted the band for the other. The tuba player of the evening, Matthew Stanton played a solo of Gesu Bambino (Italian Carol) with Jetro Silva accompanying on the piano.

We are so fortunate to have so many talented musicians throughout Western New York seeking and willing to be a part of the Perry Concert Band. The entire concert may be seen on the local cable station during the first two weeks of January. Be sure to watch the cable schedule of programs.
