Updated Wednesday Morning
The first storm of the season was correctly forecast by the National Weather Service (NWS). The second storm of the season which was to take place within the last two days may have been accurate for western and southern Wyoming County, but totally failed to forecast for the east side of the county which includes Silver Lake. Silver Lake received a total of one inch of snow in the wee hours of Wednesday morning.If NWS is going to forecast for western, southern or north sections of Wyoming County, what is the point of our reading "Wyoming County" when there is apparently no intention of covering the eastern, Perry, and Silver Lake areas of the county? Until such time as they choose to include the whole county, we will attempt to keep score of their forecasts which currently stand at one and one (W-1, L-1).
