Snow Began at 2:26 pm, a Little Earlier than Anticipated; NewTractor Sees its First Winter Action

The pile of snow that was plowed up from the first 2018-19 snow fall, is shown above being spread out with minimal height remaining so the chances of its melting are now greatly increased. We assume this is the SLI's new tractor since a new tractor was approved at the last Board meeting and this one is noticeably taller than the old one. It was reported at the Board meeting that the "new" plow truck, also used for garbage pickup, was paid off, and so a new loan was negotiated for the purchase of the new tractor which will have the amount of monthly payment that the truck did before it was paid off. This is keeping the SLI credit rating at a respectable level. Residents are looking forward to seeing it in action, making life a little easier for the year-round residents.
