45-Second Power Failure Upsets TV Reception for 5 Minutes, Internet 6

New York State Electric & Gas Corporation (NYSEG) continues to be confused by unexplained "power interruptions." Silver Lake residents have grown weary of these interruptions because so much our lives evolves around services powered by electrical power. Although the power interruptions themselves are relatively brief, they cause other interruptions in clocks and timers that must be manually reset. It is not uncommon for cable boxes to be without service for five minutes or more until it resets for both TV and then Internet receptions.

NYSEG's inability to identify the problem is notably the greatest concern for occurring in the year 2018, following a substantial upgrade of the RT20A and Silver Lake Road power station. Are the electrical systems so antiquated that they have no way of explaining these outages--or even of knowing about them until customers call in? The Silver Lake Association and the Silver Lake Institute have written letters on behalf of their members and residents requesting explanations for the continued problem of power interruptions but so far we have heard of no NYSEG responses from either SLA or SLI.

Readers -- Have any NYSEG customers letters been sent to NYSEG which have received a response from NYSEG? Please let us know by way of telephone (483-8603), email (RevGreg@SilverLakeConnection.com), or use the comment section link below. Thank you.
