Is or Was Mr. Arthur F. Kreimer a Friend or Relative of Yours or Your Family's?

From 1950 through June of 1952, Mr. Arthur F. Kreimer was a graduate student at Canisius College, seeking a Masters of Education. As part of the requirements for this degree, he was required to write a thesis showing his knowledge of research techniques. He chose to write a paper on "A History of Silver Lake Institute," and did an exemplary and detailed job of it.

The only remaining copy of his thesis is loose-leaf and missing a considerable number of pages. The content is good and it is feared that the missing pages may contain equally good and interesting material. On the outside chance that Arthur spent time, perhaps years, at the Institute with family and friends, we are seeking anyone that might have known him or known of him; better yet, we seek another copy of his thesis that we might photocopy the missing pages and have a complete history.

The ultimate goal is to produce more than one copy of this thesis, one of which would become an official document of the Institute and kept in the History Room. The information could also then be inserted into other historical writings and referenced back to Mr. Kreimer.  Please email

if you can add any additional information for the members of the historical committee

RESPONSES
From Jack Small -- I believe he is Art Kreiner..  His wife was Dorothy Bergstrom Kreiner & they owned the cottage on Wesley, that was Wid Adams.  I believe that Dorothy and Bill Bergstrom, Linda Mair's dad were brother and sister.  Dorothy ran the now torn down Silver Lake store for quite a while.
From Nancy Sellar -- Jack is correct in his information about Art Kreiner.  I had a copy of his Canisius thesis ( perhaps from Linda Bergstrom Mairs, his niece, but I can’t remember.)  I copied it and put it in a binder.  I think I lent it to you and that you were to return it to me, which I don’t remember your doing.  Is this the copy to which your blog post referred?
From Greg Franklin -- This is a different, unbound copy, given to me by Sharon Pratt just a few weeks ago. I remember your copy which I looked over at that time but declined to keep because I was in the midst of working through  The History of the Silver Lake Institute, a compilation of the notes kept by Owen C. Baker (Bissell Cottage) which was keeping me very busy. Are any readers aware of the whereabouts of this bound copy belonging to Nancy?
