Holiday Provides Opportunity for Reflection, Early Prep for Holidays

The decreasing hours of daylight and the increased falling of leaves makes us keenly aware of the seasonal passing of time. It is a good time to reflect on summertime accomplishments and begin to plot out old or new holiday decorating ideas and/or family meals. Here in the Silver Lake area, we plan to take in the free Annual Christmas Concert put on by the Perry Community Band at the United Methodist Church building on Covington St., corner of Short St. just up the road in Perry. Others may be plotting out traveling plans to be with family or friends. We hope you will have some "down time" for reflection, planning, or simply enjoying the colors of Fall.
