August's Celebration of the Auditorium Years Featured Service Under the Tent

The audience which gathered under the tent last month for a worship service had so much fun, they want to do it again. In August we were celebrating the years when 2,000 to 3,000 people were not uncommon for a Chautauqua-Assembly event in the Auditorium during the years of 1888 through 1918. Before the 'Aud' was built, the Assembly went in halves with the Niagara District UMC and purchased a 50x50' tent which is now part of the history that led up to the 'Aud,' also known as the Amphitheater.

Next Summer during the Silver Lake Experience on Sunday (the free Bonus Day), a Worship Service will once again be held under the tent at 10:30 am. The tent will be used the 3 days prior for other exciting workshops and presentations that will be a part of the exciting 2019 'Experience.' Hold the dates open--August 8-11, 2019--so you won't miss out!
