The Perry Fire Department extended their thanks and appreciation this month for "your past donations and support of the many fundraisers we hold throughout the year." During this past year, the PFD volunteers responded to 171 alarms. In addition to that, volunteers have freely given their time to attend numerous state training sessions, and are proud of maintaining a professional fire department upon which the community can rely.
Aside from financial support, the PFD is always in need of new volunteers to help in the continuous efforts at the department. Membership roles include active fire fighting, social and administrative duties. The PFD announces an Open House for recruitment which will be held at the Perry Fire Hall, 46 North Main Street today, Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 9 am to 2 pm.
