Though most of the day--morning and early afternoon--were basically cloudy, SLI residents were treated to sunshine from about mid afternoon. Along with the sun came the regular melting of snow from even unused roadways and those ground areas that had once been cleared of snow. Last night the Institute received only a dusting of snow which didn't last long.
As we begin to pass the five o'clock hour, the sunshine became more filtered, although still fully capable of casting distinctive shadows. The eastern and northern skies began to fill with white clouds as forecasters tell us the third powerful Nor'easter has been bashing the east coastal areas of the U.S. and will circulate into our area from a counter clockwise approach. While two feet of snow is forecast for Boston, MA, the inches for WNY have been forecast quite variable but no where near what the coast is in line for.
