...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT
FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 2 AM EDT THURSDAY...
* WHAT... Long duration moderate to heavy snow. TOTAL snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches are expected.
* WHERE... Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie counties. Accumulations will be noticeably lower in the valleys.
* WHEN... From 6 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Thursday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Travel will become difficult, especially at night when snow will more easily accumulate on untreated road surfaces. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph Wednesday and Wednesday evening will generate areas of blowing and drifting snow...and could help to bring down snow covered tree limbs.
PRECAUTIONARY / PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Widespread accumulating snow will create dangerous travel conditions.
