Rev. Greg Franklin, with his volunteer driver, Frederick Schuknecht, will be traveling to Cuba, NY, later this morning to worship at the Cuba United Methodist Church with his sister, Cheryl Wildrick of Cuba, followed by a quick lunch, and then on to the Alfred-Almond Central High School where Greg's three great-nephews will be participating in this year's school musical, The Wizard of Oz. Sydney Wildrick-Cole, the oldest, will play the part of the Wizard and Prof. Marvel.
The youngest brother, Sam, will be part of the flying monkeys. Middle brother, Charlie, will be on Lighting. They may dine in Alfred before returning to Silver Lake, but Greg especially looks forward to a nice day out after such a confining winter as this one has been. Submissions from readers are always welcome. We are also always looking for one or more "human interest" authors who can write similar, brief paragraphs such as those above.
Update: It was a great day for traveling Rt. 19 and the Southern tier Expressway.
