Radar Says: Storm is Over for Us;
Stuck, then Disabled SLI Plow Gets Help from Southern Neighbor's Tractor

11:05 am Friday

It's been confirmed--the snow on SLI roads was up to our knees and the Institute snow plow quickly became disabled. The SLI plow truck first got stuck on Lakeview Ave., then needed a tow. Shortly after that the SLI plow motor became totally disabled, one report calling it "broke." Neighbors began pitching in providing help for our groundsman who was on the job by 3:30 am. Another big help was our southern neighbor's huge tractor/plow which was a tremendous help. With at least one tractor in service, and some very helpful neighbors, our roads got cleared of the unofficial two feet of snow.
Article Updated: 11 am Saturday.

Plowing progress is taking place as we can see here on Lakeview Ave.
