Deacon Sue Russell will be bringing the message of the morning at the Blue Dock Service at 10:30 am July 1st. Don Weaver will be our Worship Leader for this opening service and the Children's Bell Choir will be bringing the special music of the morning. Details on the Chicken Barbecue will be posted closer to July.
Deacon Russell will most likely also invite us all to be part of the Asbury Camp & Retreat Center's Open House in the afternoon of the same day. A highlight of that Open House is the Chicken Barbecue and we are reserving 10 slots there for folks from SLI. They are also able to accommodate a few more. See Greg Franklin to reserve a spot at the Barbecue.
The traditional banging of the Gavel to Open the 2018 Season will take place as the closing highlight of the Kickoff Service. The "Gaveler" is SLI Board President Bill Schaefer. That will be followed by the traditional Hot Dog Fellowship to which all are invited to remain.
