SLI Resident Serves in Neighboring Perry Village Police Department

On Monday, January 15th, Patrolman David A. Spink, 20-year resident of the Silver Lake Institute, was the arresting officer in a routine traffic stop in Perry Village that found the driver of the vehicle, Elier Feria Dominguez, 24, was under Impairment. After a Drug Recognition Evaluation, it was found that Feria Dominguez was under impairment of Cannabis and charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, aggravated unlicensed operator, unlawful possession of marijuana and was also ticketed for no plate lamps. Dominguez was released on his recognition and is to appear in court March 13, 2018 at 1 pm to answer the charges. Patrolman Spink, now a member of the Perry Village Police Department and Fire Department, is also being sponsored by the Village Police Department in his current police training. Mr. Spink is the grandson of long time Institute resident Carol Connolly of Genesee Avenue.
