All Winter Residents, Lake Resident Participants, will Receive 'Survivors Party' Invitations, Says Planning Team

The Mid-Winter Survivors Party Planning Team met on Saturday evening, November 11th and discussed initial plans for the late-January event. Entertainment and food were two big agenda items which were turned over to two individual members of the team to investigate some of the possibilities discussed. These will be announced when the Team is able to nail down ideas as definite plans, hopefully by the next meeting in early December.

Two other topics were covered--how broad to make the invitations and how to insure that the two parking areas, nearly equidistant to the Schultz cottage, will be usable on the date to be set. The possibility of a comfortable-seat snowmobile shuttle from the Burt Park area was discussed.

Team planners will check with Executives of the SLI Board to see if it is possible to make arrangements to have the Groundsman plow the Hoag-Blue Dock Parking area on Lakeview (near Wesley Ave.) and the Park Avenue Parking area (parallel to Perry Ave. and perpendicular to Fillmore Ave.) to include both Fillmore Avenue and Lakeview Avenue between the parking areas and Schultz's cottage.

Team planners agreed that invitations would be extended to all winter residents without exception (level of involvement or other category will be irrelevant). This is also to include those winter Lake residents from Euclid Ave. and Lakeside Ave. who are not members of SLI but who can be regularly seen participating in one or more SLI events each year. Some of our SLI residents already see these folks as "neighbors" and friends. Questions may be directed to Greg Franklin, 585-483-8603.
