Editor Announces New Policy onBlog's Commenting Procedure; Promises Better Proof-Reading

Comments will no longer be instantaneous, but will be held for review, moderation, and correction, if necessary. A Commenter (one who comments on a blog) will encounter the following message before being able to comment:

"Name calling, use of raunchy language, or language that could be considered legally defamatory is not permitted. If it is easily correctable through the use of asterisks (********), it will be corrected; if not, your comment will be deleted. If you need help writing a comment, just write it the way you can (it may turn out to be very usable). If not, we will work on it for you."

Comments which use acceptable language will be posted faster than those in need of help or correction. Either way, we will be happy to be of service to you by making your reading more pleasurable with no raunchy surprises.

Notoriously, a writer never proofs his or her own work as well as another person's work. Without a proof-reader on staff, all I can do is promise to re-read the articles several more times since each reading usually produces another need for correction. Each article is currently be re-read an average of 5 or 6 times. with particular emphasis on writing clarity and the style that best brings that about.

Anyone wishing to help out may proof-read at home and just email the corrections you suspect need to be made or are sure need to be made. Sorry but none of us get paid for any of this--it is a simple labor of love.
