SLI Garbage Pickup this Week is Wednesday because of July 4th
The SLI's regular day for garbage pickup is Tuesday but because the 4th of July holiday falls on Tuesday, the pickup has been moved to Wednesday for this week. Please take additional notice--the dumpster people do not pick up containers that are rounded full. Dumpsters are only to be filled even with the top opening. Never leave excess garbage next to the dumpster. Not only will it not be taken, but the D.E.C. may become informed and give us a hefty fine; worse than that, they could close our "dump." The Board is considering spending more money on dumpsters based on the Memorial Day weekend alone. Budget recommendations should be received no later than the Sept. 2nd meeting. The new budget will then be prepared for the October 7th meeting.
