'Kids Korner,' geared for Ages 2-5, Slated to Run 6 Sundays, July 23 to Aug. 27, During Sermon-Homily Time

Silver Lake Institute's Summer Season Opening and Closing Worship Services are held at the SLI Big Blue Dock and have proven to be our most kid-friendly services of all. The Worship Committee wants to expand kid-friendly to the remaining weeks of this Summer Season at Epworth Hall so every Worship Service has an option for parents to have their children learn Bible stories with an art activity during the adult time of the Sermon-Homily.

Chelsea Pascoe will be receiving ages 2 to 5 into the safe-sanctuary north section of Epworth Hall which is clearly visible from the congregational seating. This program will help these young ones to have fun with songs, stories, and prayer on their level, while parents take in the adult messages of the Worship Service while still having their children within sight.

Chelsea Pascoe is the granddaughter of Jane Pascoe, the current Perry School Board President, and both are very active church members at the First United Methodist Church in Perry. Chelsea will also be under the watchful eye of professional Christian Educator, Barb Weaver, who has worked diligently to set this program up and will run from July 23 through August 27 during the Sermon time. Worship Services begin at 10:30 am Sunday mornings. Just one more Sunday before Kid's Korner starts (this Sunday is the 16th).
