Elected members of the SLI Trustee Board will gather at the Hoag Art Gallery this Saturday, along with interested members of the community for their monthly business meeting. Some of the business will be around preparations for the SLI Season which begins in just four short weeks.
Two items of old business bound to come up include the recommendation from LRP that the Board purchase the two remaining historical markers for Burt Park, the first one having been purchased by the Kraft family in memory of Lorraine. The other being an update on Ames Ave. and permission to post "Ames Ave. is for Pedestrians Only" signs for this year while other plans and their financing are developed.
Residents present will be given the opportunity at the beginning of the meeting to express any concerns that they feel the Board may not know about. Board meetings are open meetings, although personnel issues are handled by closed Executive Sessions. The meeting begins promptly at 10:00 a.m.
