The Silver Lake Institute grounds are not open to the general public on Memorial Day Weekend, but only to residents and their invited guests. The SLI President told this News Blog that all residents are empowered to help enforce the important rules of the SLI private grounds in the absence of any volunteer police presence or occasional patroling.
