Mother Nature Compromises, Sends
2 inches of Snow to 'Wyoming County';

You know it's a slow news day or even a slow news week when we have time to debate the grammar of the National Weather Service in Buffalo. Win, lose, or draw, the upper two-thirds of Wyoming County which includes Silver Lake received a very manageable two inches of snow overnight (Friday into Saturday). This gives the majority of Wyoming County an on-going total of two-and-one-half (2 1/2) inches at the halfway point of this current four-day Lake Effect event. A very light snow continues to fall around the northern section of Silver Lake during the mid-morning hours. No word on the snow total so far of our "Southwestern Wyoming County" because most of that snow activity shifted to the Northwest in Wyoming County overnight as can be seen on the radar below.

SYNOPSIS: Colder air will bring more typical midwinter conditions through the weekend and much of next week, with significant lake snows east of the Lake [Erie] continuing this weekend.

UPDATE: The sun made several appearances during the late morning hours of Saturday.
