The North End of Silver Lake received about 1 inch of snow (revised to 1/2" because of melting while falling) during the later afternoon hours but travel remained unhampered. The snow had stopped by 5:30 p.m. and hasn't snowed again since then and it is now 6:38 a.m. Friday. We now set our sights on the forecasted precipitation of Day 2 (Friday). Anyone near the South End of the Lake is welcome to submit a generalized report of their observations, so we might compare any differences in snowfall: blog@silverlakeinstitute.org.
