It may seem strange to highlight a situation where there are no storm warnings present, but after the last week of ever-changing and ever-updating Winter Weather Advisories, Warnings, and Statements, the NWS is making news by having little or nothing to communicate to us for the next few days. With the current temperature at 35-38F (10 am, 12/12/16), we are getting significant melting of the snow. The forecast is for either a rain or snow shower today (Monday). In contrast, snow caused 1,200 flight cancellations at Chicago's O'Hare Airport.
