As part of the current project of researching and updating the more recent history of the Silver Lake Institute, "An Introduction to the Silver Lake Institute and an Explanation of its Current Status" has been written by our News Blog Publisher, Greg Franklin, a member of our SLI History Committee, and added to the Online History of SLI. This new paragraph serves to fill in some current and necessary material even before the detailed research and writing of the 1973-2016 period of history begins in earnest. [Comments Welcome]
The new location of the Online History can be found in the Menu above titled, "History of the Institute." This online history will be put in hard copy (printed form) and placed in the History Room of Epworth Hall in the near future. Eventually the latest material will be added to it along with relevant historical photographs. "The History of Institute Street Names" is a separate project under the current care of History Committee member, Suzanne Bristow. Other important Committee members are Bob Murphy and Roger Covell.
